Statement of Faith
Here you will find our basic statement of faith regarding what we believe as a church. We highly encourage you to use whatever Bible translation that you prefer to use.
The Scriptures were divinely inspired and are therefore infallible and inerrant in the original writing. The Bible reveals God’s Message and will remain to the end of this age the Supreme Authority by which all doctrine and conduct must be judged.
The Holy Spirit
The Holy Spirit is the third person of the Trinity. He convicts the world of sin and judgment. He indwells and empowers every believer. He gives spiritual discernment so believers can understand the Bible and He leads them to do God’s Will.
The human race was created by God, in His image, and is the Crown of all creation. Adam and Eve are the historical parents of the entire human race. They were created innocent of sin and with the freedom of choice but they disobeyed God and brought sin into the human race. Thus, all persons are sinners in need of a Savior.
There will be an unexpected, visible return of the Lord Jesus Christ for the church who will live with Christ forever.
There is one and only one true God who exists in three persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. He is the infinite Creator, Preserver, Redeemer and Ruler of the universe.
He is the Eternal Son of God. He was virgin born, lived a sinless life, died an atoning death, was bodily resurrected, and shall return to set up His Eternal Kingdom.
All who receive Jesus Christ by faith are saved from eternal damnation. His salvation is offered freely, by grace to all who will repent and by faith accept Jesus as Lord and Savior. Salvation is a gift from God, apart from any works and true believers will receive their salvation by changed lives.
God created the Heavens and the Earth in six 24-hour days, and on the seventh day, He rested. God also destroyed all life on this planet (minus Noah, his family, and the animals on the Ark) in a global flood.
