Salvation: How to Become a Follower of Christ

Gold

Scripture tells us that heaven is paved with streets of gold. God wants you to live with Him in heaven one day; but there is one thing that will keep you from living there…

Sin

God is holy and therefore cannot allow any sin or darkness into his kingdom. Sin is anything we think, say, or do that violates God’s standard. “For all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God” Romans 3:23. The Bible teaches us that there is only one way that sinners can still enter heaven…

Blood

Red represents the blood that Jesus shed on the cross for our sins. God sent his only son who was 100% God and 100% man on an old rugged cross to take away the sins of the world. “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have everlasting life”. John 3:16. Jesus was nailed to a cross and died. Three days later he rose again and He is alive!

Cleanliness

The bright page represents how clean our hearts are once we accept Jesus Christ as our personal savior. Once Jesus has cleaned our hearts of all the darkness and sin, we can enter into the Kingdom of Heaven. If you would like Jesus to be your personal Savior you need to…

1. Confess to God that you have sinned.
2. Believe that Jesus died on the cross to save your sins and rose again.
3. Accept Jesus into your heart as your personal savior.

Growth

Now that Jesus is our personal savior, we need to grow to become more like him. Here are some ways we can get closer to God.

1. Prayer
2. Bible Study
3. Going to Church

A genuine commitment to Christ will affect everything we think, say, and do. It is also important that we share his love with others, so that they too might have a saving knowledge and faith in Jesus Christ.
